For all my digital art I do not use Photoshop this might actually come as a surprise but I actually designed my entire blog theme using an online program which you can access off any computer simply by logging in. It is called Pixlr and it gives you most if not all the same functions as photoshop would and you do not have to cart around your computer to access your media. If you do not want to have to clog up your computers hard drive with programs or just want to edit something quickly this is a fantastic program to use.
Secondly I use Sketchbook Pro which is available on the Apple Ipad in a free and advanced version, I tried out the free version and decided to pay the small cost for the full. I found I can make very realistic portraits in little to no time with no mess involved. It is a much easier process overall using the application but don't get me wrong I still will break out my sketchbook and doodle away!
