♥ OUIJA BOARDS - Are You a Believer?
A Ouija board is a flat wooden surface, on which has the letters A to Z, numbers from 0 to 9 and a goodbye symbol, a movable indicator called a planchette is used to answer questions that the players ask. In pop culture these boards are considered to be a spiritual gateway used to contact with the dead. However there is little to no scientific evidence proving the various accounts relating to Ouija Board users.
Participants sit around the board and place their hands on the planchette, after asking a question the planchette will "mysteriously" move to answer the question with the assistance of the images on the board; this is thought to be the spirits message to the users.
There are a number of theories which try to explain how a Ouija Board works, some believe that it works via a form of automatism. Automatism being the action or condition of being automatic; mechanical or an involuntary subconscious action. When it comes to the Ouija Board it is believed by some that participants affect the planchette with their hands because the subconscious mind causes the hand to move in subtle unnoticeable ways, while others believe that Ouija Boards work because an actual deceased spirit has made contact with the users.
Originally mass produced by the Fuld brothers as a novelty game the Ouija Board and all its assets were sold off to the Parker Brothers in early 1966, Ouija Boards were then geared towards children trying to answer everyday questions with the help of the deceased spirits. In 1999, Parker Brothers stopped manufacturing the classic board and switched to a smaller version which also glowed in the dark (Ooooo...so spooky...), finally Hasbro took over Parker Brothers and has continued to release limited editions of the game board.
Ouija boards have had much backlash over the years including being denounced by many religions and evangelists alike as being paranormal, symbols of witchcraft, and even tools of Satan. Ouija Boards are now considered to be a simple parlor game, used to entertain individuals, and con people out of money. While I am very skeptical of Ouija Boards especially those mass produced... I think in the right situation... in an old house... in the dark... with a legitimate wooden board... I might be a little scared... Are You a Believer?

♥ Tarot Card Readings - Are You a Believer?
The tarot is a pack of playing cards used from the mid-15th century in parts of Europe, from the late 18th century until the present time the tarot has also found use by mystics as a map of mental and spiritual pathways. Tarot was not widely adopted by mystics, occultists and secret societies until the 18th and 19th centuries.
The cards are traced by some occult writers to ancient Egypt or the Kabbalah but there is no documented evidence of such origins or of the usage of tarot for divination before the 18th century. In much of Europe they are still used in a number of card games, while in most other countries they are now used primarily for divinatory purposes. (Divination - The art or act of foretelling future events or revealing occult knowledge by means of augury or an alleged supernatural agency.)
Each card possesses an image and title that represents a specific concept. The belief of divinity associated with Tarot focuses on the idea that whatever cards are dealt to the individual will be relevant to their current psychological dilemma.
The tarot has four suits Pentacles, Cups, Swords, and finally Wands. Each suit has pip cards numbering from ace to ten and four face cards for a total of 14 cards. Very similar to a regular deck of cards. In addition, the tarot is distinguished by a separate 21 card trump suit and a single card known as the Fool. The trump cards and the Fool are known as the Major Arcana while the ten pip and four court cards in each suit are called Minor Arcana.
Personally I feel the legitimacy of the Tarot card readings is questionable at best as it can be manipulated by the reader based on the individual being read. I do find the subject of the Tarot to be very interesting and have invested in two decks and multiple books on the subject. In the end I suppose there will always be skeptics and believers of the topic and its up to the individual to interpret their personal readings and delve into the ideas behind the cards. -- Are you a believer?

♥ THE WALKING DEAD SERIES
Unless you have been living under a rock... you will have heard about The Walking Dead series -- I'm talking about both the comic books written by Robert Kirkman as well as the adapted television series on AMC which I am completely addicted to watching... After the last season ended I physically read every single comic book so I would be caught up on the series... sadly I'm now at the point where I'm waiting for each new one to be released... and let me tell you... that is a bad place to be in!
The Walking Dead basically is a story chronicling the main character Rick Grimes, his family, and other survivors of a zombie apocalypse. The first comic book was released in 2003 but the show, an adaptation of the comic book series began to air in 2010 on AMC which clearly became a smash hit. I physically started watching the series last year when I found it on Netfilx Canada, now both season one and two are available to watch so you can get fully caught up without having to go buy the entire series on DVD or Blueray.
AMC has created multiple extentions of the series including the Talking Dead after show and special behind the scenes videos on their website. Also there are applications for viewers relating to the series including the Walking Dead Social Game on Facebook and the Walking Dead StorySYNC available on the Iphone and Ipad.
They have really brought the comic books to life in the hour long show every Sunday... with each new episode I am shocked with how realistic it comes across and how unbelievably gruesome the details and zombies are getting. The television series stays pretty true to the comic books minus the death of Sophia and Dale (so far) both of which came as a pretty big shock, I am interested to see how the coming season plays out but so far I have managed to miss three... of the four... episodes so hopefully I will catch up soon!

♥ I Want a Pumpkin Farm
So if it isn't obvious by now I clearly like Halloween... but I also want my own farm one day... and what shall I have on my farm you ask...? Pumpkins... I want a pumpkin farm!
I love the color orange and pumpkins are a hearty crop that doesn't take too much effort from what I have gathered... *dreams* Imagine looking out over a field of orange pumpkins, what a great sight that would be! I think I will experiment with growing a few next year and see how I like it!
Stay tuned maybe in a few years I'll have my own pumpkin patch to blog about! Haha! =)
♠ FALL CLEANING? - NEW BLOG DESIGN!
Out with the old... in with the new! Fall cleaning?
Is there even such a thing?... Oh well haha!
I decided I really didn't like the blog design I had before (it was a standard stock template... yawn) ... so I created my own for the time being. I am still working out all the kinks with it so as of right now the links just below the header aren't bringing you anywhere... SORRY! It'll be sorted out soon!
Also I will be adding some social media buttons to make it more accessible! I'm still battling with a custom paid for design plan... I'm so indecisive I can't make up my mind! So until then this will have to do! On a different note the link for AMT Art will bring you to my ETSY site which I will be hitting up next for a redesign.
Thanks for understanding during the redesign process! =)

I love the look of the header and background now, and I've added four social icons for Facebook, Instagram, Etsy, and Pinterest. I will be linking the Facebook and Instagram URL's as soon as possible but until then there is the rest of the site to play with! I hope you guys love the new design as much as I do!
